Jeffrey McDonald Chandor is an American film producer, screenwriter, and director.
Chandor was born in Morristown, and was brought up in Basking Ridge, which is a part of Bernards Township in New Jersey. He is the son of Jeff Chandor and Mary (McDonald) Chandor. Jeff is an investment banker who worked with Merrill Lynch for thirty years. He graduated from Ridge High School in 1992, and has a bachelor's degree from the College of Wooster, Ohio, in 1996. When Chandor was 19 years of age, he was included in a vehicle collision with four companions from college. The driver got killed and Chandor was abruptly seized by what he tells "a feeling of desperation." At that point, he dropped out and went to a film program at New York University to "sufficiently live life" for both himself and that young fellow who was executed in the mishap. Before coming to the film industry and directing movies, Chandor was directing advertisements and documentaries. He married Mary Cameron Goodyear in 2004 and together they have two children. Mary's father is a lawyer. She was raised in Missouri and was an artist in NY.
He had composed what he trusted would be his presentation highlight by 2006.
