Plot

Helen is a nurse at a hospital in New York Click to look into! >> Read More... . Her only son, Andy, works as a journalist specializing in warzone articles. Andy has been kidnapped by radicals in Syria, and they demand ransom. Helen pleads with the U.S Government to help, but they do not even try to help her. So, she takes the matter into her own hands and sets out to free her son. She collects the contacts of her son’s colleagues, and they help her. Why was Andy kidnapped? Why is the Government not rescuing Andy? Will Helen get her son back?

Star Performance

Susan’s acting was phenomenal. She showed that mothers will do anything to protect their children. The way she portrayed a mother’s loss and revenge was extraordinary. The rest of the cast will be seen helping Susan and they play an important role here.

Analysis

We initially see a mother sad and frustrated over her kidnapped son. She is clueless about why her son has been kidnapped and does not know how to get him back. But this doesn’t stop her. She tries asking the government for help, and she also sets on a journey with the help of others and is determined to free her son.

What’s There?

• Emotions throughout the film were shown accurately.

• Intense acting of Susan.

What’s Not There?

• We don’t see much of the son and mother’s flashback. So, we have no idea how close they are.

Verdict

This slow-paced drama, which connects to every mother’s love and caring, is worth giving a try.
