He started his career as a screenwriter with 2001, "Save the Last Dance," a musical romance. In the same year, he wrote the script for another TV movie called "The Way She Moves," a modern musical set in the world of Salsa. Then came the most admired, "Step Up" movie franchise. Duane Adler with the Step Up gave this world the best dance drama.
The franchise had a total of five movies and even a television series. The movie franchise revolves around the lives of talented dancers and their love interests. In 2009, he wrote and produced "Make it Happen," a film which covers the story of a young, talented dancer who discovers a new dancing style which leads her to her dreams.
Duane Adler made his debut as a writer-director with, "Make your move." The film is a 2013 musical, and cross-cultural love story. Duane considers the film, "a brave movie" because it deals with the subject of cross-cultural love.
Being an ardent dance lover, the first idea for his debut film was a movie on tap dancers. But there was one big problem; Tap dance was not popular. Thus, he infused the idea with the idea of a not so popular love story. His most recent project, " Heartbeats Bio coming soon >> Read More... " is another musical drama which centers around the cross-cultural love between an American girl and an Indian boy.
Thus, Duane Adler has achieved immense success as a screenwriter, director, and producer. He has seen the ups and downs of the film industry. But, what makes his journey worth remembering is his passion for love and dance, and how despite various rejections and failures, he never compromised on his ardor.
His love for dance is epitomized in all the movies he has ever written, directed, and produced. All his musical romances remind the youth of the age-old musicals. The movies are so positive and spellbinding that they transport us into the beautiful world of dance and love.
