Plot:
The Lion of Judah is a film centered on the New Testament. It follows Judah, the sacrificial lamb and his friends. A lamb who thinks himself to be a dog, wants to escape to the altar and seeks the help of the son of God himself. The director tries to show the Easter story from the barn animals perspective. The entourage of animals was intended to make us laugh and learn about a religious tale in a fun and loving manner.

Analysis:
The first thing we note is the outdated animation of the movie. Though it was made in 2011, it does not equal its fellow animated competitors. The voice cast is a brilliant mix, and the director duo has not made proper use of it. The attempt at the reinterpretation of the fable is not up to the mark of suggesting to your peers. The directors could have given attention to the details of the animation. The music is commendable and not annoying at the least.

What’s there?
1. The voice cast has done justice to their roles.
2. The idea of including the animals from the original manger in Jerusalem is very nostalgic.
3. The mobster raven is a welcome addition.

What’s not there?
1. It looks like the animators have not even tried to compete in the current animation game.
2. The animals try to be something they are not.

Verdict:
A total makeover and ramp-up are required to make this a household Easter classic.
