Maria Schneider Orchestra was founded by Maria Lynn Schneider. She was born on November 27, 1960, in Windom, Minnesota,the US presently.This composer is 56 years old. Maria has won many Grammy awards since her childhood. She studied her music theory and composition of beats at the University of Minnesota.Being a graduate in 1983, she earned and owned a master degree in Music, in the year 1985 from the Eastman school of Music. She is one of the oldest and best composers in her age of persistence. She uses piano and she is the band leader for the Maria Schneider Orchestra.

In 1992, Schneider founded and started The Maria Schneider Jazz Orchestra, which appeared weekly at Visiones in a Village called Greenwich. It started in the year 1993 until it got closed in 1998 due to some faults and her old age. She is one of the favourite artists at jazz festivals,who has performed in many countries which includes South America,Europe and Asia and many concert halls over years.. The Orchestra has performed with more than 70 groups in almost 30 countries among the Asia, America and Europe. She taught at many universities all over the world.

In the year 2013, she received an honorary doctorate for her great works in Music from the University of Minnesota located in The United States.. Her orchestra includes,Marshall Gilkes, an American jazz trombonist and composer,Rich Perry an American jazz tenor saxophonist from Cleveland,Ryan Keberle an American trombone player, composer, arranger, and educator  Clarence Penn a drum player and composer,Jay Anderson is also a guitar player,Rick Margitza is an American jazz saxophonist,Keith O'Quinn is also a part of the band.

Schneider's Concert in the Garden performed in 2004 was the 1st award-winning album among all others and it is processed by Artist Share, a concert which originated as regards of 2014-18 Grammy nominations and surprisingly won 9 Grammy Awards, which was a great honour for any musician. Her works include Winter Morning Walks made in 2013. The band got represented in Soprano Dawn Upshaw, and also the Saint Paul and finally the Australian Chamber Orchestra, including pianist Frank Kimbrough, and also the bassist Jay Anderson and multi-instrumentalist Scott Robinson.

The Awards and Honours earned by this orchestra include Best Composer Honour, Best Arranger Award, The Best Big Band, at the Annual critics of Down Beat magazine Jazz Album and Composer of the Year of 2004, being Largest Jazz Ensemble of that Year, Jazz Journalists Association presented their Orchestra with Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Composition and Grammy Award for Best Classical Composition The Thompson Fields won Grammy Award for Best Arrangement Instruments.
