J B Smoove is an american comedian, actor, writer, and voice actor. His full name is jerry angelo brooks. He shortened his name to j. B. Smoove as a stage name while he performs comedy shows. Jerry was born on the 16th of december in the year 1965. He was born in plymouth, north caroline.

His father’s name is floyd brooks, and his mother’s name is elizabeth brooks. He was raised in mount vernon, new york. He has two younger brothers. He had his schooling from mount vernon high school. He graduated from norfolk state college in virginia where he studied engineering and graphic designing. Smoove married a singer whose name is shahidah omar.

They have a daughter. They are currently residing in los angeles. He is a big fan of sports. His favorite basketball team is new york knicks. His favorite baseball team is the new york yankees. And his favorite football team is new york jets. Jerry started his career as a writer and actor with the tv show def comedy jam (1995).
