Analysis
Beetlejuice beetlejuice is really a nostalgic ride to its 26 year old OG product. Michael Keaton again reprises the role of Beetlejuice with great conviction and energy. The film has a huge nostalgia factor and stays true to its original self. But let's get to the brasstacks, The sequel feels cluttered with unnecessary characters. One of the most significant sell points for the OG film was its visuals. The weird makeup, prosthetics, cartoonishly visuals it played in elevating the humor of Beetlejuice, but in the sequel the visuals have been toned down to set it in 2024. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice plot is quite simple but with the addition of new characters it loses its focus, Monica Bellucci and Willem Dafoe’s characters have no stake in the matter till the very end of the film. The film is very tumultuous and not in a good way, even though the first part was also like that but it made sense in the audience's mind as it had a balanced plot and pace, which is not the case in the sequel. All in all, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice tries all its elements but doesn't succeed its predecessor.
