Brian has built over 15 massively successful restaurant ideas in his career. His first restaurant, Searsucker & Herringbone, was sold to the worldwide Hakkasan Group. He sold his restaurants for $25 million in 2012, after growing it to ten locations in the United States and internationally. Shortly after, he resigned from his company. Then, he founded the Puffer Malarkey Collective with his old business partner, Christopher Puffer. In just five years, they have opened ten restaurants, including the nationally recognized Herb & Wood. They also founded "Animae," a recently opened luxury Pan Asian experience.

Chef Brian Malarkey competed in “Top Chef Season 3” in Miami as a finalist. He was born on a ranch in Oregon. His passion for fresh seafood from the coast has aided his current position.

The Oceanaire employed the celebrity chef. At the Omni hotel, Brian assisted with a Liver Foundation Dinner. He was in charge of a 10-person table. Brian prepared the dinner menu and established a "sub kitchen" outside the hotel. He also assisted with the food preparation, the hiring of waiters, and the decoration of the hall.

Brian owns ten restaurants in Southern California. The list of restaurants includes San Diego's “Herb & Wood,” Zagat's "Biggest Restaurant Openings," one of USA Today's "10 Best Places," and Eater San Diego's "Restaurant of the Year.”

Brian has previously worked with Irvine Company and Alexandria Real Estate Equities. For their office parks, he devised and supervised creative food concepts. He also changed the way we eat on weekdays.

Earlier this year, Malarkey competed on Bravo's Top Chef All-Stars (Season 17). He worked as a regular judge on Food Network's Guy's “Grocery Games.” He appeared on the “Today Show” and “Good Morning America.” Malarkey has previously served on ABC's “The Taste” as a winning coach.
