Merrilees Claire Parker is a famous British chef and TV presenter. She was born on August 11, 1971 in Westminster, London. She is best known for showing TV shows that combine food and travel, as well as various more traditional cooking shows. Parker is also known for her menu for the Lansdowne Bar in Primrose Hill, London.
She started her TV career in 1996on Ready Steady Cook, a BBC cooking show, as a researcher. In 1997, she started hosting a TV show called "Barbecue Bible". Parker is known as a TV chef in the long-air BBC series "Anything You Can Do" co-hosted with Brian Turner in 1999. In 2001, she was a regular chef on the BBC daily program House Call. In 2005, she co-hosted the BBC show 'Full on Food' with Heston Blumenthal and Richard Corrigan. Parker also co-hosted 'Orgasmic Organic' and Great Food Live.
She has appeared on the Taste of the British Sky Broadcasting and the 'Saturday Kitchen' of the BBC. In 2006, Parker showcased 'Food Uncut' with Stefan Gates and Jean Christophe Novelli at UKTV Food. In 2007, she was a juror for the ITV1 cooking show Soapstar Superchef. Parker is the head chef of the Lansdowne restaurant in Primrose Hill, London. Here, she developed her own personal cooking style and received good reviews. She is the head chef of The Greyhound at Sonning Common. She has her own catering business, which she partners with Bernadette Fitzpatrick, called Pink.
In 2007, Parker joined the Westminster Arctic Challenge. This charity event attracted people's attention and funds were used for various purposes. Participants included several members of Congress, representatives of charities and a journalist.
