Rupert Nicholas Vansittart is an English character Actor. He was born on February 10, 1958, in Cranleigh, England. He trained himself at the Central School of Speech and Drama. He got married to Emma Kate Watson, now known as Emma Vansittart. The couple has two children. He has appeared in multiple roles in television, film, radio, and stage. He appeared as Sir Geoffrey Wren in "Remains of the Day," in 1993, and as Lord Bottoms in "Braveheart," in 1994. In 1995, he played George the Boor at the Boatman, in "Four Weddings and a Funeral." He is famous for his role in the 1995 Pride and Prejudice as Mr. Hurst. He was featured in the episode "Market for Murder" of Midsomer Murders.
He was featured in the West End creation of Arsenic and Old Lace. He played the role of General Asquith in the two episodes "Aliens of London," and "World War Three" of Doctor Who.
