Metin Cekmez, a Turkish actor, was born on July 26, 1945, in Istanbul, Turkey. He went to the Graduate School of Private Journalism. His first play was "Hamlet" at the Istanbul City Theatre in 1962. He joined the Istanbul City Theatre in 1970. He has played his role in more than twenty films since 1972. Cekmez's films include Firar (1984), Kurtulus (1994), and Yalanci Yarim (1973).
