James Holt is a veteran actor, born on 15th January 1956 in Liverpool, England. Holt is also a prolific magician. He made his acting debut in 1983 on Under Capricorn, a mini-series where Jim had a very brief role. In 1983, he appeared in a TV movie known as Who Killed Baby Azaria, the story was based on the real story of the murder mystery that rocked Australia at one point. The movie relieved awful reviews by critics and absolutely tanked with no audience liking it. In 1987, he made his debut as the leading actor in a film known as Twelfth Night, where he portrayed the character of Valentine. The story is a direct adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic of the same name where twins are separated from each other one night due to a storm that occurs during a ship journey.
Throughout his career, he went on to act in over 50 projects. Holt is also a magician, and has had the chance to show-off some of his magical skills during his live television appearances. Ome of the most popular TV appearances he made came on Bodyline, Anzacs, Crocodile Dundee II, A Country Practice, Embassy, G. P., Heartbreak High, Wildside, and most recently in an episode of Packed to the Rafters (2009). Jim is successfully married to Robyn Holt, she is a top level publishing executive in a major company. They have a beautiful daughter named Hannah Holt. During a time period from 2002 to around 2007, Jim was based in Russia, during the same time his wife Robyn was working as the managing director at Conde Nast Zao.
