Jerry Van Dyke was an American actor, musician, and comedian. He was born on 27 July 1931 in Danville, Illinois, US. Jerry's mother was a Mayflower descendant. Dyke made his television debut on The Dick Van Dyke show, and he made several guest appearances as Stacey. He had an extended and prosperous career as a character actor in supporting and guest roles. While he was in Danville high school, he pursued a stand-up comedy career. In the mid-1950s, he worked at WTHI-TV in Terre Haute. The Jerry Van Dyke show-encompassed future CBS News Early Show news anchors. Later, CBS made him formation The Judy Garland Show.
On the 1963 game show Picture Thishe was given hosting chores. Dyke ratified the lead role in My Mother the Car in 1965, and it was all about the misadventures of a man who departed mother Gladys is reincarnated as an antique car. In 1965 he also featured in Love and Kisses and in 1969 in Angel in My Pocket. Dyke returned to stand-up comedy in the 1970s. In 1995 he was known in a series of Hardee's commercials to promote the Big Hardee. He also acted as a spokesperson for Big Lots. Dyke died on 5 January 2018, inHot Spring Country, Arkansas, from heart failure.
