Ian Donovan Hyland is an American actor and dancer born on 1 February 1995 in New York City, USA. At the New York Dance Festival held in February 2008 at Roseland Ballroom in New York City, he won first place in his age category for the tango, waltz, and foxtrot. At Pierre DuLane's Dance Studio, Ian studies ballroom dancing. Other dancing styles include the rumba, swing, merengue, and cha-cha, which he is now mastering. In the weapons category, Ian is a medal-winning Hung Fut (Kung Fu) champion. He won the beginner juvenile (under 13) section of the Long Weapons Long Hand Form in Hung Fut Kung Fu in June 2007.
The Tigers Championship was held in Baltimore, Maryland. At the Five Tigers Championship in June 2008, he won the Long Weapons Long Hand form for Beginners Teens (13-16) in Hung Fut Kung Fu. Ian made his debut with a film called Spanglish, released in 2004. He has acted in several films, short films, and television series. Some of his works include Elsewhere, Prominent, Weeds, Calculations, and Ominous. He is also the editor of the short film 20 Red Balloons.
