Janis is an American actor born on Feb 11th, 1928. He is also known to be a famous jazz trombonist. He is best known for playing the role of Mindy McConnell’s father, Frederick on Mork and Mindy. Janis is an advocate of traditional jazz. He had a band in 1949 with five members. Conrad Janis made his debut appearance on the big screen in 1945 in the film ‘Snafu’ in the role of Ronald Stevens, when he was just 17 years.
Born in New York City, Conrad Janis has had a keen interest in theatre. His father, Harriet was a writer, and his mother was an art dealer and a writer, Sidney Janis. He also has a brother named Carroll. At an early age, Janis made his career’s first appearance in the film, The Brasher Doubloon that released in 1947 that also has George Montgomery. He has married thrice and is the father of two children. In1948 he married Vicki Quarles and then to Ronda Copland back in 1979 and currently living with Maria Grimm.
