Rakshit is a Kannada actor. He has acted both on the small screen and big screen. He is credited as ‘Rakku’ on the big screen. Rakshit achieved a great fan following through his television shows. He is now a well-known actor and producer in the Kannada cinema.

Rakshit began his career by enacting in television serials. He rise to fame came with the TV series ‘Amruthavarshini.’ He essayed the role of Vijay, husband of Amrutha. The show is a Kannada family drama with ‘Shakuntaladevi’ as lead. It was aired on Asianet Suvarna channel and has 1303 episodes to its credit. The show has also been nominated as the best serial on ‘Suvarna Parivar Awards 2016.’ It was through this daily soap that Rakshit was recognized as a promising actor.

His success on small screen paved his way for the big screen. He had been looking for good opportunities in films. He convinced Director ‘Kathir’ and co-produced the movie ‘Nan Love Track’ where he himself essayed the main lead. Kathir is Tamil director famous for romantic hits- ‘Kadhal Desham,’ ‘Uzhavan’ and ‘Kadhal Virus.’ He made a comeback with his Kannada directorial ‘Nan Love Track.’ The movie is written by him. Rakshit was also the producer for the film and it was him, who was keen on making this project happen. He says that he convinced Kathir for a year to do this film. It was released on 19 February 2016.

Nan Love Track is a romantic genre movie based on the bond of friendship. Rakku and ‘Vasishta N Simha’ are the two main leads. They are childhood friends and it is their bond that is highlighted. The film also cast actress ‘Nidhi Kushalappa’. To portray him as realistic as possible, Kathir advised him to stay out of shape. So Rakku was not supposed to work on his body and shape. He was to enact an aimless youth. This was hence a natural character. The movie however effectively indicates how friendship dominates love. The songs were also loved by the audience.

The film is shot in the locales of Bengaluru-MG road and brigade road. This is USP of Kathir’s movies. Rakshit was in the limelight when he left no stone unturned in promoting his new venture. He did promotions in Dharwad, Devangere, Bijapur, Gulbarg and Raichur. When interviewed, he told that his team wishes to promote the movie in the north Karnataka that is lacking power supplies. He considers it as his privilege to work with a director who believes in perfection and discipline.
