He takes everything into consideration, including the background score, before planning his shots. For this film, he asked me to eat and sleep a lot, and not exercise much so I could look like an out-of-shape youth who lacks any aim or ambition. It caught me by surprise at first, because directors usually ask you to get in shape and flaunt a six-pack. But it showed how natural he likes his characters to be. He's also very strict about being punctual, something we got to know the hard way when he called off a shoot because we were two minutes late.
