The show revolves around a man called Neal Caffrey. He is an expert in duping people, robbing them and works as a con artist. Besides this, he is also an expert in forgery. Special Agent Peter Burke, who works with the FBI, is hell-bent on catching him. Finally, after almost three years, Agent Peter Burke succeeds in nabbing Neal Caffrey and he is sentenced to prison. But four months before Neal's sentence is about to complete, Neal escapes from the jail to meet Kate, his girlfriend. Frustrated, Agent Peter Burke again nabs him and sentences him to prison. However, within a few days, Agent Burke proposes a deal to Neal.
He suggests that Neal can get to live a clean life if he helps the FBI in catching other influential and dangerous white-collar criminals than. He also warns him to not think of running away from the prison and also tells him that he will be monitored through an ankle monitor that will be fitted on his ankle. After much thinking, Neal agrees to work for the FBI and thus we get to witness how both of them apprehend several dangerous criminals and also free the city of them, while also forging a bond with one another.
At times, it is shown that Neal is tempted to become a con artist again however, he stops thinking about Agent Burke who is trying hard to convince him that an honest life is better than a corrupt life. Matt Bomer essayed the role of Neal Caffrey while Tim DeKay played the character of Special Agent Peter Burke, who worked for the FBI. The show enjoyed immense popularity and was also appreciated by the critics. A total of six seasons were telecasted by the makers. The first episode was aired on October 23, 2009. Among the six seasons, the audiences enjoyed 81 episodes. The show also managed to won a lot of awards.
