Hilarie Burton

Born as Hilarie Ros Burton on July 1, 1982, to a family from Sterling, Virginia, Hilarie’s love for acting was prominent from a young age. She dreamt of being a role model, which could be seen in her high school achievements, where she became school council treasurer, vice president, captain of the cheerleading, council president, and homecoming queen. Her work was so impressive that MTV offered her a job as a VJ for MTV's Total Request Live (TRL) after that. Hilarie made her tv debut with Dawson's Creek in 2002, where she portrayed herself. Her breakthrough role came in the form of Peyton Sawyer, a delusional multi-talented teenager whose character she played in One Tree Hill for six seasons (2003-2009). She received the Outstanding Ensemble Acting Award at the prestigious Sarasota Film Festival for her debut feature film, Our Very Own (2005).
