Denise grew up in Brooklyn with her two siblings. Her ancestors are of Puerto Rican, Dominican, and Greek descent. She went to John Dewey High School and studied Business at Long Island University.
She signed Ford models when she was only 12. She then began to appear in magazines such as Elle and Marie Claire, as well as campaigns for international fashion and cosmetics brands.
Her first break was in the TV show “Exposing the Order of the Serpentine” in 2006. She is best known for her appearances as Randi Hubbard on ABC's All My Children (2008–2011) and Raquel on Single Ladies (2011-2015).
