The show has a total of 95 episodes. The serial starts when Adi Shakti creates Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh. She also creates their wives. Lord Shiva, who is also known as Mahesh, says that he loves her and wants to marry her. She tells him that she will take birth on earth in human form, and he can marry her there. She takes several births and gets married to him every time in her 107th birth as Maa Sati at a king's place. She wants to marry Lord Shiva, but her father doesn't want her to marry him and says that he is not a good person. He lives on a mountain without any luxury. She marries him at any cost. Later, when her father does a pooja, he does not invite Shiva or Sati.

Sati is furious to hear that she and her husband are not invited. She goes to her father to confront him, and that is where she kills herself in the Yagna. When Shiva hears the news, he goes to the place and destroys everything. He takes her corpse and goes to Himalaya. Later she takes birth as Devi Parvati. She again wants to get married to lord shiva, but he does not want to marry another woman because he is devastated that he will lose her like he lost Sati. She, with her devotion, convinced him to marry her. Later they both get married. After that Shumbha, desires to marry Maa Parvati, he is in love with her beauty and wants to defeat Lord Shiva so that he can get married to Maa Parvati.

He takes the help of his brother Nishumbha to do that. This is the time when she channels her warrior side Mahakali to kill these demons. In her way to kill demons, she also kills Mahishasura, Tarakasura, Nishumbha, Raktabij, and Chanda Munda. Mahakali kills many other demons and saves humans from their wrath. Later she tries to expand her family and includes her sons Lord Ganesha and Lord Kartikeya. She takes different births and incarnates herself to kill other demons.
