Falaq Naaz is a prominent Indian television actress, who rose to fame as Jhanvi Bhardwaj on Colors’ very popular television soap, Sasural Simar Ka. She was born on December 2, 1991, in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh in India.
Falaq is the eldest among her three siblings; one of them is Shafaq Naaz, who is also a television actress. At her early age, Falaq’s father died, and her mother took all the responsibilities of taking care of her and the whole family. She studied in some schools around Dehradun, Delhi and Meerut.
She studied until Class 12th only, but she planned to pursue it further. In an interview, she stated that if she weren’t an actress, she would have studied MBA and become a businesswoman someday. Because of her passion for dancing, her mother enrolled her and Shafaq at the Indian Film and Television Institute in Meerut, and she learns to dance under the guidance of Saroj Khan,
Bollywood’s popular choreographer. Saroj encouraged her mother to move to Mumbai and told them that she and Shafaq will do well in the city. On February 2010, Falaq and her family shifted to Mumbai. Initially, she stayed in Amritsar for three months and taught dancing and later started giving auditions for television shows.
