Sahayathrika is a Malayalam TV serial that aired on the channel Surya TV from 17 October 2016, from Monday to Friday at 8 pm for half an hour. The serial was directed by K. J. Bose and produced by Jaya Krishnan. The story was written by Kishore Abraham and the script by K. V. Anil. Sahayathrika is a horror story that occurs in a campus backdrop. Owing to the increased interest of the audience in horror films and serials, this serial was created differently compared to the mainstream horror serials. The lead role, Madhumitha, was played by actress Shafna Nizam.
Madhumitha is a college girl who, along with her friends, played a spirit game using the Ouija board. What started as a playful game turned out to be the moment that turned around Madhumitha’s life. A spirit (played by Vishnu V Nair) came out of the Ouija board, but unlike typical spirits, it did not haunt her. She started talking to the spirit normally, and as time passed, she fell in love with it. The rest of the serial revolves around how she discloses this information to her family and what happens to her love.
