Meen Kuzhambum Man Paanaiyum is the new release today and has grabbed the attention due to the fact that it is Prabhu’s 200th film. Now let’s delve more into the film.
We have seen movies that highlight the bonding between mother and son. We have also seen few movies that focus on father and son bonding. Meen Kuzhambum Man Paanaiyum is one such film that revolves around the bonding of father and son. Prabhu is such a doting father of Kalidas Jayaram (son of actor Jayaram) that the latter gets irritated at one stage. How the misunderstanding is solved forms the rest of the story.
This is the 200th film of Prabhu and his energy level hasn’t slipped down a bit. He has a significant role in the flick. He does his character in a very casual manner and earns the accolades. The budding actor Kalidas Jayaram has given a good performance. Ashna Jhaveri is just ok in her role and doesn’t have much scope for acting. M S Bhaskar does a good job in comedy. Pooja Kumar is appealing in the movie. The guest appearance of Kamal Haasan is good and you have to watch the film to experience it.
Well, what is the semblance of the title Meen Kuzhambum Man Paanaiyum with the film? It is nothing but the shop owned by Prabhu. The director Amudeshwar has taken a simple story and executed it in a quite convincing manner.
• The cinematography of the movie works in bits and pieces.
• The songs are average.
What’s not there?
• The flick is lagging in some places.
• The BGM could have been better.
The film has a strong story and can be watched once.
