Plot: This is an action drama film, directed by Surya Prakash. Jeevan Rangaraj and Vidhya Pradeep play the lead roles. Jeevan shines in the lead role till half of the movie. Although, the real life incident happened in Canada and Sri Lanka, the adapted version was shown only in two countries Tamil Nadu and Canada.

The plot is very simple, hero Jiva (Jeevan) is playing the role of an NRI businessman, who lives in Canada, but takes a decision to make a comeback to India to set up his own construction company. Love for motherland concept has been picked up by the director to essay a simple plot. The film gets a twist when Jiva comes across a man Ranjith, whose only job is to cheat people. The plot is strengthened when the conflict between the two begins.

But as no film can be without a villain, the role of a villain Ranjith pops in, who falsely implicates and imprisons Jiva for his so-called LTTE linkage and thereby the plot thickens up. The director tries to win sympathy with the audience by linking with the LTTE, but does he really? Jeevan essays the role of the NRI businessman well, but where he has been falsely implicated is, the dialogue delivery, which could have been much better. Vidhya Pradeep plays the role of heroine in the film as Suganthi.

Singamuthu plays Vidhya’s father and Thambi Ramaiah, essays the role of Shiva’s uncle. The movie also has Poorni, Kovai Sarala, Ranjith, Samuthirkani and Richard as the other supporting cast. Surya Prakash has shot some fight and song sequences in Chennai, Bangkok and Malaysia and the locals have provided visual impact with the narration.

Adhibar is a no doubt comeback film for Jivan, who will be seen after a long gap. But his comeback could have been more promising if he had better narration.
