Plot

Vanajan is a vertically challenged peanut seller. Even though he faces a lot of financial issues, Vanajan lives happily with his family. Vanajan’s wife is ill and he had to borrow for his wife’s treatment. His children help him in selling the peanuts. But, hurdles follow one after the other in the form of Mathai, the loan shark in the town. But, there comes a twist in their life after Vanajan finds his chessboard. What is that? Watch the film in theaters!

Star Performances

All the stars had done their part excellently well. From Harisree Ashokan, Pakru and the kids, everyone had naturally performed.

Analysis

The script is well designed with a message, a lot of interesting characters and a good screenplay. The director has shown the hurdles faced by the vertically challenged people in society. Like any other kids’ film, Ilayaraja has given a huge importance to the kids and this attracts the young audiences. For a successful film, the cast is very much important and Ilayaraja has got it. The cinematography and music are perfect. Although the second half is a bit weak, the performances compensated it.
