Biju Narayanan

Biju Narayanan is a well-known Malayalam playback singer. He was born into a musical family and learned Carnatic Music for eight years under his Guru Aryanad Sadasivan. He currently lives in Kochi and has sung over 400 songs in the industry. He got his first opportunity to sing in a devotional album in 1992. His first song in the film industry was "Pathu Veluppinu" composed by Raveendran in 1993 in the movie Venkalam. He worked with composer Ouseppachan again in the movie Lelam in 1997.

He worked with the composer Vidyasagar in the 1998 movie Summer in Bethlehem for the song “Marivillin.” In the same year, he sang Ponmaanam Ee Kaikalil composed by Ilyaraja in the movie Anuragakottaram directed by Vinayan. In 1999, he sang “Thekan Katte” composed by Vidyasagar in the movie Ezhupunna Tharakan. In 2006, he had the opportunity to sing Raveendran’s composition “Kalabham Tharaam” in the Shajoon Kariyal’s directed Vadakkumnadhan. In 2012, he sang “Thechipoo Mantharamin” composed by Vidyasagar, the Malayalam comedy thriller film Ordinary directed by Sugeeth. His new album Nilayilaliyum Neela Nilavinu was released in January 2018 and received appreciation alongside the singer Sreeju Edachery. He will also sing in the upcoming 2019 Telugu movie Swamy Manikanta.

He has also worked in movies like Yogi directed by V.V Vinayak in 2007, Bodyguard directed by Siddique , Salim Baba’s directed Pramukham in 2009 and many more. He has many albums to his names like Harivaram, Mookambike Saranam, Uthram, Onnam Thiruppadi, and Sourayoodham. He also sings Christian devotional songs and has worked in devotional albums as well. He is also frequently approached for performing in big events and stage shows. He is one of the founding members of the Singers Association of Malayalam Movies (SAMAM) He currently lives in Kochi. He went to Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School, Thevara in Ernakulam. He went to the Maharajas College, Ernakulam for his higher studies. He met his classmate Sreelatha in Maharajas College and got married to her. He has two sons Siddhartha and Surya. He later attended the Mahatma Gandhi University where he won in the light music category during the MG Youth Festival. He has seen it as the turning point in his life and career. He is today a successful singer with the support of his family and thousands of fans.
