Plot

Missing Boy Click to look into! >> Read More... narrates the story of a young boy who mistakenly boards a train bound for Bengaluru from Hubli and loses track of his family, eventually finding himself in an orphanage. Later on, a couple adopts him and takes him to Europe. After twenty years, he comes back to his home country to look for his biological parents, and the events that unfold constitute the core of the Missing Boy's plot.

Star performance

The primary attraction of the movie is Rangayana Raghu, who delivers a subdued portrayal of Lavakumar, a character modelled on an actual officer with the same name. Although Gurunandan puts forth his greatest effort, it would have been preferable if he had shown more emotion during the crucial dramatic sequences. The supporting actors, many of whom are well-known, also contribute to the overall success of the film. Additionally, V Harikrishna's touching score is a winner and has the potential to elicit tears.

Analysis

The realism of the plot, which is based on a true story, is the sole hero of this 'missing' venture. The story is centred around a Swedish citizen who, years ago, came to India in search of his biological parents, from whom he had been accidentally separated during his childhood. Raghuram deals with this topic in an emotionally charged cinematic language, emphasising human values and relationships that are often neglected in today's materialistic world. The protagonist, Gurunandan as Nischay, learns that he is an adopted child and not the biological offspring of his wealthy parents. He embarks on a quest to find his birth parents in Karnataka, but memories from his childhood, just before he was separated from his biological parents, haunt him. Will Nischay succeed in locating his parents? This is the central plot of Missing Boy. This film stands apart from typical commercial movies due to its emphasis on values, which drive the plot rather than the sole intention of finding missing parents. When Nischay arrives in India, his hopes of finding his parents are buoyed, but his journey is not without setbacks. He teams up with a seasoned police officer who lends his expertise, but the road ahead is fraught with disappointments. Despite bearing similarities to a Hollywood production, Missing Boy is notable for its focus on human values and relationships, rather than commercial elements.
