Analysis
Luv Ranjan and his movies are very well known to always portray his women as a villain and in a negative light. His standards for a good woman are too high. The director, Writer and co-producer, Luv Ranjan, has taken his misogynistic views a little too far. According to him, the women are either clingy or dependent gold diggers or booze drinking air heads, who almost always have an agenda behind being with a guy. Though, it should be said that, his flair for comedy almost makes us all sit up and enjoy the movie instead of giving too much stress on the theme. The witty remarks and the sharp dialogues have long since proved to be his repertoire. The competitive game of one-upmanship becomes the building block of the entire movie. Although the scenes and dialogues are very edgy and have cutting repartees, it fails to take our attention away from the fact that there can be no perfect woman. This theme is consistent with his other films where the movie was based on how every woman is screwed up and selfish for her own right. Though we are already very familiar with the degrading wife jokes, this movie takes it a level too far. In Ranjan’s world, women are nothing but cunning, scheming villains and that the bromance always wins out in the end. The cinematography, the songs, the background score, is all very excellently done by an outstanding crew. The movie has all the elements of a great entertainer, but the script stands out like a sore thumb.
