Rochak Kohli is new personality in the world of Hindi music. He is a lyricist, music director as well as a singer. His most recognized song was also his Bollywood debut song “Pani Da Rang” in 2012. Before this, Rochak was running his own Radio Station.
Rochak was born in a family of lawyers. His dad encouraged him to complete his LLB, which he did. Meanwhile, he also attended the DAV College in Chandigarh. It was at that time he realized his true interest and career path was not as a lawyer, but in music. He was very active in theatres as well before opening his own studio. He was among the founding members of Chandigarh’s Aaghaaz and Manchtantra, which are two active theatre groups. He also contributed to radio before diving in the world of music in the Indian Cinema.
Rochak’s first musical debut was for the movie
Vicky Donor in 2012. His song was in collaboration with his childhood friend
Ayushmann Khurrana. Ayushmann was acting as the lead role in that movie, when he played the song “Panida rang” to
Shoojit Sircar, Director of the movie. Rochak’s song was appreciated and got him selected as the music composer for the film.
Beside movies, Rachak has also given music to Shahrukh Khan’s produced documentary “Living with KKR”. His latest projects were for the movie “
Nautanki Saala” and “
Hawaizaada”, which is also Ayushmann’s debut as a music composer.
Rochak is a married man and loves spending his mornings and afternoons with his family.
