Delhi based film editor and director Akiv Ali was born in 1981. He worked as an editor, director and film actor in his 26 years of career. He entered in Bollywood as a film editor for the film Kaash Aap Hammare Hote on 2003. Akiv also tried acting for film Rog (2005), which is edited by him.

In his struggling day he got chance to worked as an editor for many film including Saaya (2003), Murder (2004), Tumsa Nahi Dekha (2004), Zeher (2005), Kalyug (2005), Gangster (2006), Life in a Metro (2007), Kites (2010), I Hate Luv Storys (2010) etc. He also does film editing for blockbuster films like Agneepath (2012), Barfi (2012), Yeh Jawani Hai Diwani (2013), Kabil and Sonu ke Titu ki Sweety (2018).

He made a debut as a director in 2019 with Ajay Devgan, Tabbu starrer film De De Pyaar De.
