Jasmin Walia

Jasmin Walia is a singer, actress and model. She was born on 23^rd May 1992 in Essex County, United Kingdom. She belongs to a British-Indian Punjabi family. Most of her family still lives in England.

Jasmin Walia decided to be a performer at a very young age and she was very much into the entertainment industry, and at the tender age of seven, she started singing. She said in an interview that she would often sit in front of the TV with her dad, and try to imitate songs played on the TV, and that is when her dad decided to get her some music lessons, as Jasmin was really into singing. At the age of 10, Jasmin made her debut on the popular comedy series Doctors. She obviously appeared as a child artist. During those years, Jasmin was also heavily influenced by both Bollywood and Hollywood movies.

Later as she grew up and graduated, Jasmin started working as a customer adviser for the Natwest Bank. Though she had a steady job, Jasmin knew that working for a bank just wasn’t for her. Later she quit her job and started auditioning for more work in the acting world.

She started appearing in the popular British show ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ from 2010, where she would appear as an extra. Later in 2012, she was made a permanent cast member on the hit TV series. Jasmin’s stardom started to grow day by day and she also appeared in ‘The Only Way is Las Vegas’. In 2015, Walia decided to quit ‘The Only Way is Essex’ for unknown reasons, and she appeared in the streaming show Desi Rascals, which was a show for Asians living in Britain. Later in 2016, her pop star career began with the super hit single she released on Youtube titled ‘Dum Dee Dee Dum’.
