VV Minerals Godowns are in Tuticorin. Upon the complaint that 420-ton mineral sand had been smuggled and exported to overseas in the name of the district collector, the VV Minerals godowns were raided. The godowns are in Muthaiyapuram, Tuticorin. Raids were held in 14 godowns and it was found out that mineral sand of nearly 25, 000 metric ton was kept ready for export. The officers sealed the godowns and filed a case. It is found out that fake documents were prepared in the name of the district collector and the mineral sand was smuggled to overseas. The raid was conducted as per the direction of the collector. VV Minerals, the sand mining company is owned by Vaikundarajan. It is reported that this company has smuggled 13, 70,409.28 metric ton sand from Tamilnadu.
