According to the latest reports, RJ Balaji is now working on his directorial debut with the sequel of ‘Mookuthi Amman’. However, instead of Nayanthara, Trisha Krishnan Born on 4th May, 1983 in Palakkad by Krishnan and >> Read More... will perform the role of ‘Mookuthi Amman’.

Although an official confirmation is yet to be made, RJ Balaji is preparing for the sequel of ‘Mookuthi Amman’ for sure. If everything goes right, he will direct the movie himself. The original movie was co directed by RJ Balaji and NK Saravanan. While ‘Mookuthi Amman 2’ will not be a direct sequel, it will certainly have elements from the original movie.

‘Mookuthi Amman’ was a satire on the godmen, which starred RJ Balaji and Nayanthara in the lead role. The movie was directly released on Disney+ Hotstar, and received appreciation from both the audience and the critics.

It would be interesting to see how Trisha fills in the shoes of Nayanthara.
