When asked about the plastic ban, Jayakumar stated that the Tamilnadu government had been taking enough steps to ban plastics completely and the people should be aware of the plastics and minimize the usage. The corporations had been taking initiatives to ban the plastic and as a result, the shopkeepers had started using the cloth bags and the people started using the non-plastic materials. We hope, if it is followed properly, then the plastic will be automatically banned.
