“ Kalathur Gramam is my debut film as an actor. The film has experienced actors like Kishore Jayaram (Aadukalam Kishore), Ajay Rathnam and Yagna Shetty. Rajini Mahadevaiah, a popular Udhaya TV anchor pairs me. It is directed by Saran K Adwaithan. The film was wrapped a year ago. After completing the final schedule, we were returning from the shooting spot. When we were nearing Madurai Vadipatti, we met a massive accident. A government bus crashed our car and our chief CG in charge Mr. Guna died on the spot. It was a narrow escape for me. A cop admitted me to the hospital and when the news spread that a hero had been admitted to the hospital, doctors rushed up and saved me. It is the cinema that saved my life. My friends were with me till I get discharged from the hospital. The incident happened on 8^th May. The film is gearing up for the release and it is a tribute to Guna, our chief CG admin. I am committed doing Dhill Kumar, which will be directed by Rathna Siva’s assistant Gautham Balu. We haven’t yet finalized the heroine.” It is to be noted that Mithun didn't get the salary for his second movie, Dhill Kumar; instead, he has received the Telugu rights of the film for his banner Airawath Entertainments.
