Kasthuri’s Open Letter To Kamal Haasan!

"Kasthuri," the popular actress, has been active on her social media pages and has been commenting about the political, social and even the cinema issues. Recently, Kamal Haasan Kamal Haasan is the most versatile actor that Indi >> Read More... was called upon by the Chennai city police for an inquiry regarding the Indian 2 accident. He had been at the police station for 3 hours. Following this, his party people released a statement that " Edappadi K Palaniswami Edappadi K Palaniswami is an Indian Politician. He >> Read More... " government had purposely dragged Kamal Haasan into the case and they had also warned the government. This one really shocked everyone and even Kasthuri, who had supported Kamal had stated that Kamal would never mind spending 3 hours at the station but his party people's statement will definitely bring some bad name to Kamal.

Kasthuri also posted on her Facebook: "Shocked undismayed on reading the press release from Makkal Neethi Mayyam. It is signed by the state secretary of MNM fan service association wing Mr Thangavelu. The official press release expresses outrage over Mr Kamal Hassan being questioned for Three hours by the police in connection with a fatal accident on Indian 2 sets. The sentiment of the letter is so insensitive. Three innocent lives have been lost and the police are duty bound to question eyewitnesses. So it was three hours. Is that a big deal for Mr Kamal? Are not three human beings who worked and died for his movie each worth even an hour of his time? So it was 3 hours in a police station. So what? Actually not regular police station, but commissioner's office, a high security top level government office. I myself have been there twice. I went there once to report a cybercrime and once to help a friend. Both times voluntarily took the stairs up to the eighth floor as the lift is quite occupied. There is an air-conditioned VIP waiting area and yes, the wait was long. Yes, there was chaos and disorganization. After all it's a government office. Could Mr Kamal not spend 3 hours there for the sake of whole lifetimes lost creating history his 3 hours in a movie theatre? Even if the police deliberately wasted his time even if the government has deliberately harassing, is 3 hours of waiting and not been given appropriate VIP treatment such a torture to complain about? Or does MNM feel their leader should not be summoned by police or that Cops should have come to whichever office or 5 star luxury hotel or air-conditioned Caravan instead? How can a leader fight for the rights of Tamilnadu if he is unable to discomfort? Police routinely arrests party cadres even civilians during protests. How can we expect MNM party cadre to fight for people's rights if they are allergic to police humiliations? I am sure Kamal sir personally may not feel that way at all. He is not a man who flinches from physical strain or loses patience. 3 hours is nothing. Catching a flight takes 2 hours at the airport. We common people wait long hours routinely at ration stores, banks, government offices. Indian 2 movie makeup may be taking longer than 3 hours. IT raids take longer. This letter portrays him as a man who does not care to spend 3 hours for cooperating with the law. The statement ends with a threat to the Tamilnadu Government which really sounds like a corny filmy dialogue. It would do well for Mr Kamal Haasan to decry this letter and distance himself from it as soon as possible."
