Kamal Haasan Confirms The Upcoming Project With Rajinikanth

It’s finally happening.

Kamal Haasan recently confirmed his presence in the upcoming movie with Rajinikanth, which would be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The project is set to reunite the two superstars after more than four decades.

Kamal Haasan revealed that the collaboration was long due, and he is hopeful of more collaborations with Lokesh Kanagaraj. Lokesh had last worked with Kamal Haasan on the movie Vikram, which was a spinoff movie to his own classic from 1986, and firmly established the iconic Lokesh Cinematic Universe, which continues to be one of the most talked about movie franchises throughout Indian cinema.

While Rajinikanth somehow saved his reputation through Coolie, Kamal Haasan has faced one setback after another with Indian 2 and Thug Life. Both movies marked his reunion with stalwarts like S Shankar  and Mani Ratnam. Yet, none of the movies worked at the box office, failing to recover even the basic budget.
