Recently, Shankar Shaekar, who is said to be the adopted son of Mumbai biggie Haji Mastan issued a notice to Rajini that if Ranjith and team misinterpret the life of Haji Mastan as a Don, in their upcoming film, then he would sue them. Following this, the production banner Wunderbar Films announced that they are not producing the biopic of Haji Mastan. Their film is set in the backdrop of Mumbai and it is not based on the true incidents, cleared the Production Company; particularly the film is not based on the life incidents of Haji Mastan.
