There have been a number of directors in the Tamil cine field. Cheran is one such director. He has said that the cine field would move to the different level. He said this in the audio launch of movie 6 Athiyaayam. There are novel efforts in Tamil cinema of late. Such a good effort is movie 6 Athiyaayam. They would have compiled several short films and released it as an anthology. But, this is not so. In the movie 6 Athiyaayam, For the first time in the world cinema, the supernatural has been made as the center of the plot. The six chapters in the movie are directed by six directors.
It is not like telling the conclusion of the chapters during the end of the chapters. The recent trend in Tamil cinema which is none other than the horror trend has explained the success of the movie. The movie is a production by Shankar Thyagarajan of Asci Media hut.
