1. Hirak Rajar Deshe

The film Hirak Rajar Deshe is about Goopy Gyne and Bagha Byne. They are a magically musical pair. Due to their musical ability, they are invited to the Hirak Raja (The Diamond King)'s palace. They travel to the diamond-mining region of Hirak. There they meet Udayan Pandit. He is a teacher. He is a challenge to the king's younger generation. Goopy and Bagha enter Hirak. Probir and Pakrashi try to solve the case by investigation. Amrita and Surjo do research on serial killers for a TV show. A mad poet named Nibaron Chakraborty roams the streets of Kolkata at night. He reads poems. Everyone thinks that he is the killer. All the killings are on the death date of famous Bengali poets. All the police congratulate Probir. They tell the matter to be solved. But they find out that he commits suicide on the death date of a Bengali poet. Probir says that he is the actual killer. Now he wants to kill himself.

3. Calcutta 71

The film Calcutta 71 is about the four stories that comprise the collection of short stories. Each focus on a different part of society. In the first story, a family from the lower middle class in a slum is forced to leave their cottage and go to another safe place. In the second story, a middle-class family has low food and hardship.
