Supriya Mondal, born on January 12th; 1997, is a native of a small fishing community in Shahpur, West Bengal. Since 2012, Srikanth has received financial assistance from the GoSports Foundation in Bangalore as part of its scholarship program. Mondal was in a straightforward household; his mother was a housewife, and his father was a fisherman. In a little pond in Shahpur, West Bengal, Mondal began to swim. His attitude was not overlooked. His mentor and Bula Choudhury, a well-known Bengali swimmer, Sanjib Chakraborty, taught him the fundamentals of competitive swimming and assisted him in honing his abilities.

The GoSports Foundation, which assisted Supriya in moving to Bangalore to train under Nihar Ameen, quickly recognized his promise. Since then, the Foundation has helped him by providing equipment, training, and competition exposure. At the 2009 Junior National Championships in Goa, Mondal won gold medals in the 100- and 200-meter butterfly events and a silver medal in the 50-meter event. In the 100-meter and 200-meter butterfly events of the 39th Junior National Aquatic Championship in Chennai 2012, Mondal won one gold and one silver. China, Mondal competed for India and placed sixth in the 200-meter butterfly competition At the 2013 Asian Youth Games in Nanjing. He took home two gold medals and a silver in the 40th Junior Nationals in Hyderabad, setting a new record in the 200m butterfly.

Mondal won a silver medal in the 200-meter butterfly event and got a bronze medal at the senior nationals the 100-meter butterfly event in Trivandrum. During the 41st Junior Nationals in Bhopal, Mondal was named best swimmer. With five gold medals and another national record, he won the competition. He took home two gold and one silver medal during the inaugural Dubai International Aquatic Championships. The child won the 'A' qualification needed to compete in the same event at the Nanjing 2014 Summer Youth Olympics with a time of 2:03.93s in the 200-meter butterfly.
