‘Pushpa 2’ To Stream On This OTT Platform!

According to the recent media reports, the Sukumar directorial is all set to stream on the OTT giant Netflix in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, with the Hindi release yet to be confirmed. The movie will be officially streaming on Netflix from January 30.

That’s not all. ‘Pushpa 2’ will be streaming with a reloaded OTT version, i.e. an extra footage of 23 minutes! The original footage that was cleared for theatrical release ran up to 3 hours 21 minutes, while the director’s cut is around 3 hour 44 minutes! The movie earned a whopping 2100 crores worldwide compared to a budget of 400 crores.

Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa : The Rise’ released in December 2021, around the same time as the Hollywood classic ‘Spider Man : No Way Home’, and the much talked about ‘83’. However, contrary to the expectations, ‘Pushpa’ not only withstood the challenge from ‘Spider Man’, but also steamrolled both ‘83’ and the rising wave of COVID-19’s Omicron mutant to emerge as a box office blockbuster, earning Allu Arjun his first National Award for the Best Actor.
