Sridhar Subramaniyam is an Indian Actor, who is working in Tamil film and television industry. He was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Shridhar made his acting debut in the Malayalam film “Manyu” directed by M.T.Vasudevan Nair. He also acted with well-known actresses like Devayani, Pavani Reddy, Neelima Rani, Nirosha and Chandra Lakshman. He has appeared in some well-known television serials such as Sahana, Kolangal and Azhagi. Shridhar currently doing the supporting role in Chinna Thambi serial along with Sadhana in Vijay TV.
Sridhar was a child artist in the 1979 movie Azhiyadha Kolangal, featuring Shobha, directed by Balu Mahendra. In 2008, Sridhar shared the screen with "Premsai," Abitha, and Neeraja in Thangamana Purushan. In 2014, he played the role of an IG in Thamarai aired on Sun TV. The same year, he worked in the film Velaiilla Pattadhari with “Dhanush.” In 2019, he shared the screen space with Nirosha and Sudhakar Komakula in Nuvvu Thopu Raa. In 2020, he played the role of Dharmaraj, Venba’s father, in “Chithi 2.” He shared the screen space with Radhika Sarathkumar, Meera Krishna, Dharshna Sripal Golecha, and Uma Padmanabhan. The same year, he played in the series Uyire on Colors Tamil, produced by Nirosha Radha.
In 2021, he shared the screen space with “M Sasikumar” and Nikki Galrani in “Raajavamsam.” The same year, he worked in the Zee Tamil series Deivam Thantha Poove with Amruth Kalam and Nishma Chengappa. In 2022, he worked in the series “Chellamma” that aired on Vijay TV. Sridhar has also worked in a film, Dileeban, about Sri Lankan Tamils. In 2024, Sridhar replaced Sakshi Siva in Valliyin Velan, featuring “Sindhuran” and Shreya Anchan.
On 5th April 2025, Sridhar fell ill and was taken to a nearby hospital. The doctors confirmed his death, and the reason was a cardiac arrest.
