C K Saraswathi is a film actress in Indian industry who works primarily in Tamil films. She is famous for her work in movies like Raja, thillana mohanambal, and kudivazdhal Kodi nanmai. Saraswathi began her career in this industry in 1945 and used to perform the roles of a comedian. Later she started doing negative characters for which she was highly noted. Saraswathi worked in cinema for quite a long period of fifty-two year and was seen doing the roles of a mother in wealthy families predominately. She used to get motherly roles because of the physical appearance. Saraswathi debuted as an actress with the picture en magan in 1945. Directed by R S Mani, the film was a Second World War romantic front line film which was based on Waterloo Bridge.
