Manjula Vijaykumar is a famous South Indian Actress who was born on 9 September 1953. She married actor cum politician Vijay Kumar Bio coming soon... >> Read More... who has acted in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi movies. He also appeared in a few Television Serials. The couple have three children together i.e, Vanitha, Preetha and Sridevi Vijaykumar She has acted in over 100 movies in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. She started her career as a child artist in the year 1969 with the movie ‘ Shanthi Nilayam Shanthi Nilayam is a popular daily serial which wa >> Read More... ’ as a teenaged daughter of Gemini Ganeshan.
 
Two years later she got a big break as she was chosen to play the heroine with actor MGR for the blockbuster movie ‘Rickshawkaran’. She continued to play lead roles and went on to be one of the heart throbs of the seventies. Working on other languages such as Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam gave her more fame and stardom as she has acted with big names such as Akkineni Nageshwara Rao, Rajinikanth, Venkatesh, Vishnuvardhan, Mammotty, etc.
 
She also played supporting roles in the 1980’s movies up to the year 2000. She passed away on 23 July 2013 in a Chennai Hospital where she was admitted due to a blood clot in her stomach. She was about to turn 60 in September. Her death came as a big shock to the South Film industry and several stars visited actor Vijaykumar’s house to pay their last respects to Manjula.
