A.R. Reihana is popularly known as Reihana. She is the sister of an epic star, music composer, singer and the only Oscar-winning Indian so far, A.R Rahman. Reihana herself is a singer and music composer and has sung and composed songs for many films, but the recent one in which she has sung is Kochadaiiyaan in 2014. She is an admirable personality and very sweet at heart and Brand Ambassador to Raindropss, a social foundation for youth.

Reihana is the mother of G.V. Prakash Kumar, the actor, singer and music composer of the film industry. She collaborated with A.R. Rahman for the movie, Kannathil Muthamittal in 2002. Reihana is also linked to the controversial song of Chocolate that she sang in 2001.

Dharan Kumar, whose biggest childhood inspiration was Michael Jackson, is a music composer of Indian origin. Most of his works are focused in the Tamil film industry. Born on 8 October, 1984, Dharan Kumar had an interest for music from an early age. At an early stage in his career, he assisted big music composers such as Harry Jayaraj in the film, ‘Anniyan’. As a college student, he often used to play in his college. There he got noticed by the daughter (Saranya) of a well known Tamil director, K. Bhagyaraj. K. Bhagyaraj was directing the film ‘Parijatham’ at that time, and gave Dharan Kumar an opportunity to compose a song for the film. His first song, “Unnai Kandaene", was a chart buster hit. Moreover, it was declared as one of the best songs of the year 2006. Next in line was a small budget horror film titled ‘Sify’. Apart from gaining appreciation for song composition, Dharan Kumar’s background score in the film was kept in high regard. Sify was a landmark in Dharan Kumar’s career as it helped him establish his ground in the Tamil film industry. His soundtrack was next heard in the 2009 film, ‘Laadam’. The hip hop film was a huge failure, and along with it drowned the soundtrack of the film. In 2010, Dharan ventured into the Malayalam film industry with the movie, The Thriller. The film music turned out to be a big chart buster. Apart from composing music for films, Dharan Kumar has also composed jingles for television advertisements. He created the theme song for the Challenger Beach Volleyball Championship, which was held in Chennai in the year 2010. To pay a tribute to his childhood hero, Michael Jackson, he not just composed a single called, “Sing One More Time”, but also gave the lyrics to the song, which was released in 2009. He is also known to give the composition for the Tamil film, “Aaha Kalyanam”, which is the remake of a blockbuster Bollywood movie, “Band Baaja Baraat”.

S. A. Rajkumar is an Indian music director. He belongs to Chennai in Tamil Nadu. He composes music for the South Indian film industry in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam languages. He was born in 1964 to Selvarajan (father) and Kannammal (mother) in Chennai. His ancestors/ family descendants belong to Paettai, Tirunelveli district in Tamil Nadu. His father Selvarajan was a vocalist. He performed in many stage shows organized by famous music directors of the film industry like Deva, A. R. Rahman, Gangai Amaran, Chandra Bose, and Ilayaraja, among others. Rajkumar was an admirer of his father’s musical work and with the passage of time he developed an interest in the art. It was Kannammal, his mother who spotted the buried musical abilities of Rajkumar. She noticed that Rajkumar while sitting idle used to get engrossed in singing. She asked her husband to make Rajkumar join music classes for further refinement as he also has developed an interest in the field. Subsequently, Rajkumar learned Carnatic music (music system related to the southern part of the Indian subcontinent) for three years. He undertook classes of this classical music under the guidance of S V Subbaiah Bhagavathar. Rajkumar also has a younger brother named Arul. After his three years of training, Rajkumar started performing in many musical shows on stage. Whilst his performance on television shows, he was looking for an opportunity to enter the film industry. He finally made his debut in the movies with ‘Chinna Poove Mella Pesu’ in 1987. He was signed by the duo Robert- Rajashekar for this picture. That was the starting point of his career in the field of cinema. He went on to direct the music for various Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada cinema. He has also created Rock 2000, a musical album. In Tamil cinema, he has composed music for many movies. Some of them are as follows. 'Thangachi' which is an Indian feature film directed by R.Krishnamurthy and stars 'Pallavi', 'Seetha', and 'Ramki'. 'Veeran Veluthambi' by Rama Narayanan was released in 1987 and cast was Radha Ravi, 'Ambika' , 'Karthik', and 'Vijayakanth' . 'Rayilukku Neramachu' by Bharathi Mohan came in 1988 under the cinematography of P. Ganesapandiyan. 'Paravaigal Palavitham' is a romantic movie of 1988 directed by Robert-Rajasekar and produced by S. K. Rajagopal starred 'Ramki', 'Nirosha'. 'En Thangai' meaning ‘my sister’ by A. Jagannathan was a romantic film in which Rajkumar composed five songs. 'Thangathin Thangam' directed by Siraaj featured six songs composed by Rajkumar. 'Pudhu Pudhu Ragangal' was a story of Kannniga and her mother searching for livelihood by V. Aadhavan. 'Perum Pulli' by 'Vikraman' stars 'Babu' and Suman Ranganathan. 'Suryavamsam' is a story based in a village about a person named Chinna. 'Aval Varuvala' is a romantic picture of 1998 by Raj Kapoor. He is married to Meera and the couple is blessed with a daughter Thamizh. Rajkumar has received Filmfare Award for Best Music Director twice. Once for the Telugu film 'Pelli' in 1997 and the second time for the Telugu movie 'Raja' in 1999. He was also honoured with Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Music Director for his composition in the picture 'Suryavamsam' in the year 1997.
