Vennira Aadai Nirmala is a famous and well known Tamil actress. Her real name is A.B.Shanthi, she was born in Kumbakonam, India. She initiated her career as an actress in the movie Vennira Aadai in 1965 directed by C.V.Sridhar. In 2004, she penned the screenplay, acted, and produced Aaradhana, a series for Doordarshan. Nirmala has received a prestigious award from UNESCO for her exceptional performance on Meenakshi Thalattu. Nirmala runs an institution, Nirmala Academy Of Fine Arts, where she teaches Bharatanatyam.
