Snehan

Snehan, born as Sivaselvam is an actor, poet, lyricist and motivational speaker from Tamil Nadu. He was born on 23 June 1978 in Pudhukariyapatti, a small village in the Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu, India. He was the youngest brother out of all eight and belonged to a well to do agricultural family. After completing his education, he moved to Chennai to find work. There he worked for the noted poet and lyricist Vairamuthu as his protégé. He stayed with the five years and the work familiarized him to the literary world of Tamil Nadu.

Later, he took a job with a monthly magazine called Ilanthendral where he worked as its Editor for three years. During this course, while he was attending an event held for the relese of a book, he met with the famous director and producer K. Balachander. He presented Snehan with an opportunity to write songs for his films. Perhaps agreeing to it, Snehan received an offer from the music director S.A Rajkumar. S.K.Rajkumar wanted him to pen down lyrics for this new film called Putham Puthu Poove. From that day on, he has written upto 2,500 songs for at least 500 movies. He has also worked with many famed directors and music composers of the Telugu film industry. His acting venture started with the film Yogi. He has written the lyrics for all the songs.

The friend, Ameer Sultan was the writer and the director for the movie. For the same movie, Snehan made his debut as an actor and a playback singer as well. He is still working on three new ventres as an actor, that are under production, He has also turned producer and is producing a film titled Rajaraja Chozhanin Porvaal.
