Saravanan Naan

Saravanan is a talented actor who works in the Kollywood industry. He has been around the Kollywood industry for more than fifteen years, he worked in a lot of TV serials, commercials and a few movies. His major break came in Naan, where he portrayed the role of Salim. Saravanan was eventually getting the recognition he deserved, but then in 2018 came the super hit Ratsasan. The movie that made Saravanan into a superstar. Ratsasan is a psychological thriller and Sarvanan was cast to play the main villain of the movie.

In the same movie, he also portrayed the role of Mary Fernandez. Sarvanan had to play two of the most challenging roles ever asked to play in a movie. Sarvanan studied a lot of mental patients and he worked on his role for over one and a half years. The character of Sarvanan was kept as a mystery until after the movie was released, which means no one was able to identify as to who played the villain in the movie. For the preparation of the role, Sarvanan also had to learn magic, reduce his weight and do a lot of exercises. Sarvanan had to go bald more than fifty times during the shooting of the film and would wear heavy makeup and prosthetics.

Apart from all this preparation, he also had to learn the choreography of the fight scenes, and all the stunts. Due to Sarvanan’s excessive weight loss, many times on the sets Sarvanan found it difficult to finish the action sequences as he would get tired. Eventually when the movie was released, it was a monster hit, with critics and audiences calling it one of the greatest movies ever made. Sarvanan rightfully earned his fame for the role.
